Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytskyi, OSBM, who headed the Ukrainian Catholic Church from 1900 until his death in 1944, and who overcame huge obstacles to send the first Basilians to Canada. Sheptytskyi's spirituality and deep commitment to his people are inspirational.

Pliatonyd Filias, OSBM, who founded the first Basilian mission at Beaver Lake, Alberta, in 1903.

Navkratii Kryzhanovskyi, OSBM, who served 37 years in the Canadian mission and was the first provincial superior of the American-Canadian Province of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, established in 1931-1932.

Josaphat Jean, OSBM, the French-Canadian Basilian whose vast collection of artifacts helped to launch the Mundare museum.

Nykyta Budka, Canada's first Ukrainian Catholic bishop.

Vasylii Ladyka, OSBM, the second Ukrainian Catholic bishop in Canada.

Meletius Ostap, OSBM, a brother and deacon who never left Mundare's monastery to serve in a different post. In 2002, Deacon Meletius celebrated 62 years of service.

Sister Jerome Chimy, SSMI, who led the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate congregation at the generalate in Rome for 18 years.

Neil Savaryn, OSBM, the first Ukrainian Catholic bishop of the Edmonton eparchy.

Demetrius Greschuk, the first Canadian-born Ukrainian Catholic bishop of the Edmonton eparchy.

Myron Daciuk, OSBM, the Ukrainian Catholic bishop of the Edmonton eparchy who attended the first synod of bishops in independent Ukraine.

Lawrence Huculak, OSBM, the present Ukrainian Catholic bishop of the Edmonton eparchy and first director of the "new" Basilian Fathers Museum (1986-1997).

Alexandra (nee Osinchuk) Chmilar and Gwen S. Polomark, two lay women who served their communit
y faithfully and well.
